From the Pastor's Desk - May 10, 2015

Dear Parishioners,
If you have not heard by now, last Tuesday morning it was discovered that a leaking water pipe within a wall flooded some of the classrooms and the office area in the Religious Education Center. The general contractor and subcontractor who were involved in the construction of the building immediately addressed the issue and have corrected it as well as are going to replace whatever needs replacing such as carpeting and drywall. I thank them for their quick response in addressing the situation. Since we could not use the building this last Wednesday since fans were going to dry out the rooms affected, we should be able to have our last two sessions the next two weeks in the building, though the grades of the rooms that were affected might have to meet in the social hall if the repairs are not complete. Parents of religious education students will be notified by Sherry Huntwork by email to keep you updated on the situation. While it certainly was not a happy occurrence, praise God that it was discovered before the damage was even more extensive.
As a reminder, this coming Thursday is the holy day of obligation of the Ascension. Masses will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening and at 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Finally, a Happy Mothers' Day to all mothers. May Our Lord bless all of you and Our Blessed Mother enfold you in her loving prayers for your love and the sacrifices that you make in living the vocation of motherhood.
God bless you,
Fr. Gutowski
