From the Pastor's Desk - June 22, 2014

Dear Parishioners,

As we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi this weekend, let us appreciate the great gift that the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist is to us. As he nourishes us with His Body and Precious Blood, He empowers us to become like Him: persons of self-giving love. So that this transformation will take place in our hearts and souls, the Anima Christi (Soul of Christ) prayer is a wonderful prayer to pray:

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from Christ's side, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints
and with Thy angels
Forever and ever
Amen .

On another note, once again, thank you to all who have provided their input either through an in-person interview or via survey in regards to the possibility of doing a parish capital campaign in tandem with the archdiocesan "Ignite the Faith" capital campaign. If you have not yet done so, there still is time to give your input during this coming week via the paper/online survey that was sent to parishioners who were not in the sample that were chosen for an in-person interview. I appreciate, too, those who have also spoken directly to me to share their thoughts and encourage you to so, if you have questions or anything you would like to discuss with me.

Have a wonderful and grace-filled week.

God bless you,
Fr. Gutowski
