From the Pastor's Desk - June 15, 2014

Dear Parishioners,
As has been announced the last couple of weeks, with the help of the Steier Group, a comprehensive survey of parishioners as to the feasibility of doing a parish capital campaign is taking place. As I have explained, this would be done in conjunction with the archdiocesan “Ignite the Faith” capital campaign. The purpose of the survey is to help gauge support for paying down the loan on the Religious Education Center.

I would like to thank everyone who has already participated in the planning assessment by way of agreeing to an in-person interview or by returning a paper survey. Your thoughts are extremely valuable to us during this process. I encourage everyone that has not responded to do so. Your input will help me, the parish council, and the finance council to make an informed and sound decision regarding whether or not to undertake a parish capital campaign.
We are hopeful to have all surveys completed by July 1st. You may return your survey to the office or place it in the Offertory basket at any of the Masses.

You may also complete the survey online by going to www.steiergroup.com and selecting “Client Log-In” from the “Our Clients” menu. Click on St. Joseph and enter the password “Joseph”.

On another note, the tying in of all of the phones for the church office, rectory, and new religious education center is finally all worked out. The rectory number 402-253-2889 has been restored to service. Now when you call either the rectory number or 402-253-2949 you will get a menu to choose from numbers to ring each respective place and person. For the rectory, choose 3 and the phone will ring in the rectory and you can leave a voicemail if needed. Please see the insert in this weekend’s bulletin that you can keep as a guide.

Have a blessed and grace-filled week.

God bless you,
Fr. Gutowski
