From the Pastor's Desk - March 23, 2014

Dear Parishioners,
Just to give you a brief update on the Religious Education building project: it looks like that it will mostly be finished within another month. The interior work is approximately 90% complete and the exterior work involves finishing up the brick and painting as well as the laying of the concrete for walkways and the final landscaping of the land. We are hoping that by the Wednesday of Holy Week that during the RE Easter Outreach evening that tours can be given. While we will start utilizing the building this summer for Vacation Bible School and Totus Tuus, we will look to seeing if we can schedule Archbishop Lucas to come for a dedication and blessing ceremony near the beginning of the new school year in August. This building is going to be a wonderful facility for religious education and other parish activities. I subbed for one of our religious education teachers a couple of Wednesdays ago and it was so distracting trying to teach with all the noise created by the present utilization of the social hall for classes. Due to this, I wonder how our children are even able to concentrate and to learn. What a blessing it will be to have now a suitable and conducive environment to conduct our religious education classes! As we pay off the loan in the coming years, it will be funds well spent as we can be proud that we care so much for our children to learn their Catholic Faith in a setting will facilitate and enhance such. I thank all of you who have contributed to our building fund and who will do so in the future!
Have a blessed and grace-filled week.
God bless you,  Fr. Gutowski
