From the Pastor's Desk - October 20, 2013

Dear Parishioners,
It was inspiring to see our children and youth to be the first to take the shovels to turn the dirt at the building site during the blessing and groundbreaking ceremony for our new religious education center last Sunday. What a wonderful moment in the history of St. Joseph’s Parish! I want to thank all who made this event a success: the members of the parish council, especially Ted Boro, council president, for his updating parishioners at Masses on the project, and the members of our finance council, especially Tim Ihry who developed the presentation board with thermometer for us to see the progress of collecting the funds for the project. Further, I thank Ken Patry for providing the update on the finances of the project at Masses this weekend. Finally, thank you to all of you who have so generously contributed to our building fund thus far and who will do so in the future. What a priceless legacy we are creating for our children and youth to have the facility that will provide the optimum environment for their religious education!
On another note, as the national chaplain for the Catholic Medical Association, this coming week and weekend I will be out of town at their national meeting and conference. Fr. Swanson and priests from Mount Michael Abby will be here as celebrants for the Masses.
Have a grace-filled and blessed week.
God bless you,  Fr. Gutowski
