From the Pastor's Desk - February 14, 2013

Dear Parishioners,
It was wonderful to see the large number of folks who came for Mass on Ash Wednesday. I encourage as many as possible during Lent to consider coming to daily morning Mass or, if this is not possible, to the once-a-week Wednesday evening Mass at 6:00 PM. Also, the Stations of the Cross at 5:30 PM on the Fridays of Lent (3:00 PM on Good Friday) are a wonderful devotion to do during Lent as well.

A quick update on the religious education building project: it is currently in the archdiocesan review process. The proposal has been reviewed by the archdiocesan building committee and we are awaiting their specific response as to the architectural plan itself. It will also have to go before the archdiocesan finance committee, which has not met as of yet. The archdiocesan finance office also has given us some input and asked some questions that I, the parish council, and parish finance council are working on providing some answers back. So, please know that things are happening even though there is not much yet to report. It takes at least a couple months or so for the building proposal to navigate its way through the archdiocesan review process, so thanks for being patient. Please keep praying for the success of the project.

Have a wonderful and grace-filled Lenten week.

God bless,Fr. Gutowski
