From The Pastor's Desk - November 3rd, 20112011

Dear Parishioners,
With the snow that we had this past Wednesday, it made me realize that our farmers may be running out of the good weather that they have had for the harvesting of their crops this fall.  Let us be sure that we keep them in our prayers and that we ask our Lord to provide the weather that they need to finish this year’s harvest and that they may do so in safety.

Also, as I mentioned last week, remember to pray for the souls in Purgatory during this month of November that is especially dedicated to the Faithful Departed.  During the week in the chapel area of the social hall and at the weekend Masses there will be the Book of the Deceased on display for the month of November.  This book contains the names of all of our deceased parishioners, of the deceased Knights of Columbus who were members of our St. Joseph’s Council, and of those whose names were submitted on the purple sheets given out in the bulletin a couple of weeks ago.  Further, if you were not at the special All Souls Day Mass at the Holy Family Shrine this last Wednesday and if one of our deceased parishioners is your loved one, I have the votive candles that were lit for each of them that you can ask me for to take home with you.

Have a blessed and wonderful week.

God bless,

Fr. Matt
